What's the advantage of ProRes video recording ?

ProRes is an intra-frame codec. This means every frame is saved and compressed into a files. ProRes is also a 10-bit codec, so it can display at four times the range of colors and tones when compared to an 8-bit file. This gives more information, as well as dynamic range to the editors when color-grading in post.

Apple ProRes is a video codec that allows users to record videos on supported iPhones and iPads with higher color fidelity and less compression than other formats. However, ProRes files are typically much larger than other formats, such as High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) or Most Compatible (H.264), and may be up to 30 times larger. ProRes is also not supported in Cinematic, Time-lapse, or Slo-Mo mode. Then you need to extend your iPhone storage capacity . i.e. M.2 SSD PCI-e Protocol. we MSLFORCE is a professional Designer and Manufacturer for the m.2 SSD Enclosure .
